Terms of service

Last updated: April 2, 2026. This is an in-house draft for review before broad public launch. It is not a substitute for legal advice.

Agreement

By creating an account or using Dinner Management, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Dinner Management provides tools to plan meals, store recipes, organize pantry and shopping lists, and collaborate within households. Features may change; we may add or remove functionality.

Eligibility and household accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. Household admins may create logins for minors they supervise. If you are a parent or guardian, you are responsible for minors’ use of the service under your household.

Acceptable use

You will not misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no attempting to breach security or other tenants’ data, no excessive automated abuse, and no uploading malicious content. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

User content

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant the operator a license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the service to you and your household.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Food safety, nutrition, and health decisions are your responsibility; the app is not medical or dietary advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars, except where law does not allow such a cap.

Termination and deletion

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or threaten the service. Deletion and retention practices are described in the Privacy policy. A post-request grace period before permanent purge is the target policy; until self-service flows ship, procedures may vary by deployment—contact support or your operator.

Billing

If optional paid plans are enabled on your deployment, additional terms from the payment provider may apply. Fees, renewal, and cancellation follow the in-app billing disclosures and Stripe (or equivalent) checkout terms.

Changes

We may modify these terms. We will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate.

Governing law

Unless your operator specifies otherwise in a separate agreement, these terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state chosen by the operator for its business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Contact

Support (signed-in users) or the operator’s published contact.
